ABOUT THE TEACHER:

I have lived in Pell City, Alabama, all my life. In June 2007, I married Steven Head. We had our first child in March 2016 and our second in October of 2018. My favorite things to do are spend time with my husband and our little girls, get together with our families, and go to church. We attend Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist.
I taught kindergarten at Coosa Valley Elementary for 9 years . This is my tenth year to teach children in first grade.
I really enjoy teaching! It is such a rewarding profession. I hope to make school an exciting and memorable experience for each student.

Graduated Victory Christian School, 1998
Graduated Jacksonville State University, BS in Early Childhood Education, 2003
Alabama Reading Academy Training, Summer 2004
Currently working through LETRS (The Science of Reading ) training

EXPERIENCE:

I taught Kindergarten at Coosa Valley Elementary from August 2003 to May 2012.
I have been teaching First Grade since August 2012.
I regularly attend workshops and professional development training sessions to keep my teaching fresh and up to date.
